Bacardi Limited, one of the world’s largest producers of alcoholic beverages, has announced a new campaign to promote the responsible use of alcohol. As part of the two-year effort, Bacardi will run advertisements in broadcast and print media as well as on the Internet and in movie theaters in 40 countries including Russia. The spots, centering on the theme “drinking and driving don’t go together,” will feature seven-time Formula-1 car racing champion Michael Schumacher, whom Bacardi has enlisted to serve as the “ambassador” of what it is calling its World Champions of Responsible Alcohol Use campaign.
