How to: manage your mobile phone

Make sure the phone is charged and ready:

My battery is running low.

Do you have a charger for a Nokia phone?

And that you’ve put money on it

I’ve run out of money on my phone.

Please can you put 1000 rubles on my phone?

I want to put money on my phone. Dictate the number.

Of course, there are signal problems to deal with:

I can’t hear you very well.

We were cut off.

The reception’s bad here, I’ll move elsewhere.

Check the person you’re calling is free to talk:

Is it convenient for you to talk now?

Do you have a moment?

I can’t talk now, I’ll call you back.

Please call back in 10 minutes.

And how to deal with the frequent occurrence of wrong numbers:

You’ve got the wrong number (literally, you haven’t gotten through to where you intended).
