Dmitry Demin Fashion House Launch
RDH

Perfection in hair, hat, essential accessories and party mood. All together and timed just right. That’s the idea behind fashion designer Dimitry Demin’s new concept: a “boutique-backstage-bar” with everything the well heeled girlabout- town needs. The emporium is just off Kutosovsky Prospect, and opened on 23 September with a huge fanfare and an atmosphere of restrained opulence. No, hold the restrained. Wholly unrestrained splendour and sybaritic indulgence were the keynotes, from the matching purple decor, orchids and cocktails to the peacock-exceeding costumes and accoutrements.

Our eponymous host was resplendent in velvet jacket with cameo brooch and cane and welcomed a glittering array of guests, as well as a cabaret. The finest of his creations were exquisitely modelled live and displayed by alcoved and seated mannequins. Two of the finest hats were sported by wife and cocreator Elena, and by daughter Olga. The building hummed with conversation and popped to the tune of champagne being invested in most splendid Kir Royale cocktails. A unique occasion to welcome a bespoke new addition to Moscow’s fashion high life.
