Bullet-proof with Pink Leather
By Big Spender
Do I need a Ferrari Enzo? Or should it be a Hummer-limo? At the Super Car and Bike Exhibition at Gostinny Dvor I had the chance to check out which one would look best on Rublevskoye.
In Moscow there’s nothing too special now about a Rolls Royce, Aston Martin or Jaguar, so I almost gave that stand a miss, but I liked the look of the Zimmer. At 150,000 euros they hadn’t sold a single one – not enough rich people in Moscow? surely not – but the young lady whose primary job was to make attractive cars look even more attractive was still smiling, having sold several Aston Martins.
I was sidetracked by the motorbikes from Motor Art Design Studio, official Harley-Davidson partners, but for $80,000 I’d like more than two wheels.
A Hummer-limo? A Swedish dealer had driven it to Russia, and the interest had been “almost unlimited”, so he wasn’t worried that he still hadn’t sold a single one. There was no price, of course, because you order it exactly as you want; bullet-proof with pink leather is very popular. I took a quick glance inside, and although I couldn’t find the Jacuzzi, I did like the bar.
There were several tuning shops; you could have a souped-up BMW M6 for 200,000 euros which made it the most expensive car in the show (for a BMW?).
And the Ferrari Enzo? There wasn’t one! just a poor Spider. And no Lamborghini and no Zonda. Whatever is Moscow coming to!
